EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Tuesday that it will host a Pregame Rally on Friday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. outside the UTRGV Fieldhouse, prior to the start of the men's basketball home opener against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
 
CBS4 will broadcast live from the Pregame Rally.
 
Activities at the rally will include a poster pandemonium where fans and student organizations can make their own game day posters. There will also be a contest in which whoever creates the wittiest, most creative poster will win a prize.
 
Poster-making supplies will be provided starting at 5 p.m., and all submissions must be entered by 5:45 p.m. Images of submitted posters will be uploaded to the UTRGV Athletics Facebook page, where the winner will be determined by the most "likes". The winner will be announced at the end of the game.
 
Posters may also be prepared beforehand.

There will be free popcorn for all fans in attendance starting at 5:30 p.m., as well as free Game Day t-shirts starting at 5:45 p.m. (limited t-shirts available).
 
UTRGV student organizations that RSVP will receive a free Game Day t-shirt upon arrival at 5 p.m.
 
The game starts at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live statewide on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, channel 323.
