San Antonio, Texas - Texas-Pan American continued its
strong play with a 4-3 win over St. Louis in San Antonio. The victory was the
fourth in a row for the Broncs who are 5-1 on the season.
UTPA was paced by the Ironman combo of
Nik Porter (So./Tunbridge Wells, England/Bennett Memorial School) and Tom Mangelschots (Sr./Limburg, Belgium/KA 2 HS) who won their matches in three
sets. Porter defeated Jow de Lorta, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 at Number 3
singles while Mangelschots beat Taylor Currau, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-0)
at Number 5 Singles.
Texas-Pan American opens up the home
season, Saturday, February 21 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The match is
scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.
