The 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame and Hall of Honor induction ceremony is scheduled to take place in the UTRGV Ballroom on Saturday, March 22 at 11 a.m.
Space is limited and those planning to attend are asked to purchase tickets in advance. Individual tickets can be purchased for $50 at
GoUTRGV.com/HOFTickets. Tables of 10 can be purchased for $500 at

Criteria
Eligibility criteria for the Hall of Fame, as of September 2020, are as follows:
Must be a letter winner within at least two different academic years or have a minimum of five years as a head coach
National Player or Coach of the Year
First, Second, Third Team or Honorable Mention All-American
National Champion
National Record Holder
Conference Athlete or Coach of the Year
First Team All-Conference
Conference Champion
Conference Record Holder
Program Record Holder
Competed in NCAA or NAIA Postseason
Accomplishments are based on time as student-athlete or coach at the University
The voters are comprised of members of the Hall of Fame, Hall of Honor, and the Hall of Fame committee. The candidates with the top four vote totals will be inducted.
Nominees for induction into the Hall of Fame shall remain on the primary ballot for up to 10 years. After the 10
th year, if the nominee has not earned the required votes for induction, (s)he shall be removed from the ballot. After an additional five-year waiting period, that candidate may be re-nominated.
If a nominee on the ballot for the Hall of Fame receives zero (0) votes for three consecutive years, that candidate shall be removed from the ballot. After an additional five-year waiting period, that candidate may be re-nominated.
