In an exciting, hard-fought match, head coach Dave Thorn saw his team play the Bobcats tough. "I thought that we played aggressively, but at the same time we calmly kept our composure," added Thorn.
The Lady Broncs were paced offensively by freshman Kellie Phillips (Chandler, AZ/Corona Del Sol H.S.) with a team-high 19 kills while Heather Bravo (Las Vegas, NV/Durango H.S) turned in a double-double (kills-digs) with 17 and 20 respectively. Thorn was impressed with the play of Bravo in the losing effort, saying "Heather had a heck of a match. She has been struggling, especially offensively, but the last two games she has really come around."
