The University of Texas-Pan American women's tennis team dropped a match against Sam Houston State, 7-0, on Saturday (Feb. 12) at the King's Crossing Country Club in Corpus Christi, TX.

The Lady Broncs lost the doubles point but battled in the number one slot as Silke Buksik (Waiblingen, Germany/Sailer Gymnasium) and Katherine Barto (Laredo, TX/St. Augustine H.S.) suffered the 8-6 set back against SHSU's Lata Assudani and Mounia Hassib. The Lady Broncs were then defeated in six singles matches where SHSU would seal the 7-0 victory. Playing number one singles for the Lady Broncs was Buksik who faced the Bearkats Assudani. Buksik took four games in the first set but fell short in straight sets losing the match, 6-4 and 6-2.
