Texas A&M was able to take control of the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth inning when Brian Ruggiano drove in a pair of runners following a two-run double off of UTPA starter Cody Cisper (Peggs, OK/Northeastern State Univ.).

Flores was able to tie up the score for the Broncs at 2-2 after Flores drove in his second run of the game in the top of the fifth inning when he grounded out to shortstop allowing junior Roly Gonzalez (Miami, FL/UNC-Greensboro) to score from third base.

The Aggies regained control of the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth inning, but were able to add insurance to their run tally in the bottom of the sixth frame when the home team plated a trio of runs to take the score to 6-2.

Ruggiano drove in his third run of the game in the bottom of the seventh inning when he connected on a sacrifice fly allowing Luke Anders to score from third base and give the Aggies a 7-2 advantage on their home field.

Anders led the Aggies with three hits and two runs scored in the contest while Ben Feltner, Brandon Hicks and Kyle Colligan each added a pair of hits for the home squad.

Jason Meyer picked up the victory for the Aggies as he hurled 6.0 innings allowing two runs on five hits while striking out five hitters.
