With the victory, the Lady Broncs improved their overall record to 5-7 in the 2007 spring campaign.

"The women are on a roll with a three-match winning streak," said head men's and women's tennis coach Rob Hubbard. "The three freshmen in Stephanie, Megan and Luisa have really raised their levels of play, and the three juniors in Silke, Giana and Julia have remained consistent and provided strong leadership."

The Lady Broncs began the match in dominating fashion as the number-one doubles' team of Giana Oliveira (Santa Anna, Brazil/Eckerd College) and Julia Cirne-Lima (Porto Alegre, Brazil/Eckerd College) posted an 8-2 victory over Antoinette Majors and Candace Culmer.

Stephanie Willerding (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/Northview Heights S.S.) and Luisa Cantu (Victoria, Tamps, Mexico/Colegio Jose de Escandon) blanked the Panthers' combination of Branea Simpson and Melissa Guerrier by a score of 8-0 in the number-two position.

The Lady Broncs' duo of Silke Buksik (Waiblingen, Germany/Salier-Gymnasium Waiblingen) and Megan Bedeau (Scarborough, Ontario, Canada/Northview Heights S.S.) posted an 8-1 triumph over Camille Whittingham and Margaret Banks in the number-three doubles' position.

Willerding blanked Culmer in the number-three position by scores of 6-0 and 6-0 while fellow freshmen Bedeau recorded a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Banks in the number-four position of the lineup.
