Broncs Fall 12-2 to New Mexico State

The University of Texas-Pan American baseball program suffered a 12-2 setback against the New Mexico State Aggies Friday night at Presley Askew Field.

The Broncs had a rough start by giving up five runs in the first inning. The Aggies would go on a seven run-run in the next four innings of play.

The Broncs would only be able to bring in two runs throughout the whole contest. Jordan Rutenbar and Ryan Vest would bring in the runs in the top of the second.

Jordan Rutenbar would end the night going 2-for-4 with one run and Ryan Vest would finish 0-for-2 and a run. Cody Cisper would finish the contest pitching five complete innings and collecting the loss for the Broncs making him 1-4 on the season.

The loss brings the Broncs to an 8-14 overall record.

The Broncs will be back in action to finish the three-day series against the Aggies Saturday night at Presley Askew Field with the first pitch slated for 6:05 p.m.
