After dropping the first set 6-4, Bernstein took the second set into a tiebreaker before the match was called. Nirvick Mohinta was ahead at line 5 and about to close out the second set before the match was called.
"The doubles was really a hard fought battle, we just came up on the short end in those matches," said senior Brett Bernstein. "Beau was playing and serving well, which kept us in the match. I'm proud of how my teammates fought during the match is we play like this in every match we will be in good shape for the rest of the year," added Bernstein.
"It was too bad we lost the doubles point because we were still battling in the last three singles matches and who knows what could have happened. It seemed like we had the momentum in those matches and we could have possibly pulled those (the wins) out," said junior Aswin Vijayaragavan.
"Brett was playing huge and was really pumped up in his match and I think it helped and Nirvick to keep grinding and fighting even though things weren't looking good for us," added Vijayaragavan.
The Broncs return to action on Wednesday (Mar. 3) when they face DePaul in Corpus Christi, Texas.
