DALLAS, Texas – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's tennis team opens the 2012 dual-match season on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. against the Southern Methodist University Mustangs (0-1) at Bent Tree Country Club.
The Broncs are looking to build on a successful fall season under first-year head coach
Paul Goode.
During the fall, the Broncs and Mustangs met at the ITA Regional Tournament in College Station, on the campus of Texas A&M. Sophomore

Robert Lambeth in a three-set duel.
The Mustangs are coming off of a 5-2 loss to #19 Texas. The Mustangs dropped all three doubles matches while taking two out of six singles matches. Their wins came from
Arturs Kazijevs out of the number four spot and
Robert Sajovich out of the number six spot. Two Mustangs were able to force a third set in defeat, including
Mischa Nowicki against #112
Daniel Whitehead in the number two spot and
Tobias Flood in the number three spot.
This is the first of 18 matches leading up to the Southland Conference Championships on April 27 and 28.
