EDINBURG – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's tennis team won their second-straight match by beating the Prairie View A&M University Panthers 7-0 on Saturday at the newly renovated Orville Cox Tennis Center.
 
The Broncs (6-11) swept through doubles, as 
Alejandro Sanoja and 
Sebastien Job defeated 
Jackson Varney and 
Craig Wiltz 8-4 at No. 1, 
Ricardo Hopker and 
Chetan Panditi beat 
Ronald Chidzilkwe and 
Karim Fasto 8-3 at No. 2, and 
Thomas-Orestis Panoulas and 
Victor Alves defeated 
Trenton Johnson and 
Rasaki Gbadamosi 8-3 at No. 3.
 
The closest the Panthers (4-10) came to winning a set in singles was at No. 3, where Panditi had to go to 7-5 to beat Chidzilkwe in the first set. Panditi took the second set 6-3 for the point.
 
The Broncs won the other five singles matches in straight sets.
 
The Broncs resume Southland Conference play on Monday at 12:00 p.m. when they welcome the University of New Orleans to the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
