EDINBURG – The University of Texas-Pan American Department of Intercollegiate Athletics launched on Wednesday the Broncs Baseball Kids Club for children ages 13 and under.
For just $20, members get free admission to all Broncs baseball home games, a free t-shirt and a personalized birthday card with team photo. Members wearing their t-shirts at Broncs baseball games will get priority when the marketing and promotions staff picks participants for on-field games in-between innings.
Members also get to take part in a free youth clinic at the end of the season.
Members will have the chance for even greater rewards with the Refer a Friend Program. Any member who refers 10 people to become members will get a baseball autographed by the Broncs. Any member who refers 25 people will get to take batting practice before a game with the Broncs. Any member who refers 50 people will get free use of a suite during a game, pending availability.
One of the major events for members during the season is the Kids Club Challenge during the game on Friday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. against NJIT. Whichever member brings in the largest group of fans will get to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. All tickets for this event must be purchased by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25. The winner will be notified shortly afterwards.
The Broncs will hold a Kids Club Appreciation Day during the game on Thursday, May 16 at 7:00 p.m. against Utah Valley. All members will get to go on the field before the game to be recognized in front of the crowd and meet the Broncs.
The Broncs are also offering a special deal to Little League baseball and softball teams. Any team that signs up in its entirety will get to take the field with the Broncs starters before the national anthem.
