EDINBURG – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's basketball team (11-15, 3-4 Great West Conference) hosts the Chicago State University Cougars (4-24, 2-5 GWC) on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at the UTPA Fieldhouse in a game that will determine who earns the No. 3 seed in the Great West Conference Tournament and who finishes fourth.
The No. 3 seed will advance directly to the Great West Conference Tournament semifinals and face second-seeded NJIT on Friday, March 15 at 12:00 p.m. The loser will face fifth-seeded Houston Baptist in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
There will be a ceremony honring the Broncs' six seniors, who will play on Sam Williams Court for the final time, at 4:20 p.m.
It's the first game of a single-admission doubleheader, as the UTPA men's basketball hosts NJIT at 7:00 p.m.
The first 250 fans in attendance will receive free popcorn.
Doors open at 3:30.
