HOUSTON – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs volleyball team (10-5) can get off to their best start since becoming an NCAA Division I program, and second best overall, with a win on Monday at 7 p.m. against the Texas Southern University Tigers (3-8) at TSU Health & Physical Education.
The 1996 Broncs, who were also 10-5 through 15 match, lost their 16th match. The only team that was better was the 1973 Broncs, who started 14-2 while playing under the umbrella of the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women in the time before the NCAA and NAIA sponsored women's championships.
