EDINBURG – The University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Wednesday that UTPA has taken ownership of Edinburg Baseball Stadium following a donation from the City of Edinburg to the UT Board of Regents.
The name of the stadium will remain Edinburg Baseball Stadium for now, although naming rights opportunities are available. More information can be found at

The UTPA baseball team began playing at the stadium in 2002, and has posted a 187-137 (.577) record at home during that time. The Broncs were the secondary tenant in the stadium from 2002-13 before serving as the primary leaseholder during the 2014 season.
Located on the northwest corner of campus at 920 N. Sugar Rd., the stadium opened in 2001 and currently has a capacity of 4,000 that is expandable to 16,000 for concerts and other special events. There are 10 air conditioned luxury suites which contain entertainment lounges and 20 VIP seats.
