Baseball Falls to No. 25 Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION
– The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs baseball team fell 13-0 to the No. 25 Texas A&M University Aggies on Tuesday at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park, in the first game of their two-game series.
 
The Aggies (12-5) got on the board in the bottom of the first inning as Patrick McLendon hit a two-run homerun giving them the 2-0 lead.
 
Nick Banks added to the Aggies lead with a solo homerun in the bottom of the second inning and then a couple of RBI singles by McLendon and Cole Lankford pushed their lead to 5-0. The Aggies went on to add three more runs in the third, two in the fifth and three in the sixth to make it 13-0.
 
Logan Landon (0-1) took the loss for the Broncs (9-8) as he pitched an inning and a third while allowing five runs on six hits.
 
Tyler Stubblefield (3-1) picked up the win after pitching five scoreless innings while scattering two hits and striking out six.
 
The Broncs wrap up their two-game series with the Aggies on Wednesday with the first pitch scheduled for 3:05 p.m.
