PHOENIX, Ariz. – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's basketball fell to the Grand Canyon University Antelopes 77-55 on Saturday at Antelope Gymnasium.

Brittany Bush led Broncs (14-15, 8-8 WAC) with her sixth double-double of the season after scoring 12 points with 11 rebounds. Freshman

Jasmine Thompson scored 11 points each. Thompson also had seven rebounds.
Deanna Daniels led the Antelopes (21-8, 10-6 WAC) with 27 points on 10-of-14 shooting, plus 7-of-9 from the line.
Justine Johnson scored 17 points while hitting five three-pointers.
Bush and Boyd each hit a pair of early baskets as the Broncs led 10-7 in the opening minutes.
The Antelopes, however, responded by scoring the next 13 points, eight of which came from Daniels, as part of a 16-2 run over an eight minute span to go up 23-12 with 9:10 remaining in the first half.
The Broncs climbed within 27-21 on a three-pointer by senior captain
LaQuita Garner three minutes later, but Johnson hit three-straight three-pointers to spark a 24-10 run as the Antelopes went up 51-31 early in the second half.
Boyd used a layup and a three-pointer to bookend a 14-6 run as the Broncs pulled within 12 at 57-45 at the 12:16 mark, but that's as close as they got.
The Broncs open the WAC Tournament as the number four seed in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
