The Broncs led 5-4 in the opening minutes on a layup by freshman Isaiah Hobbs and a three by Joesaar. The Roadrunners took the lead on a Mays layup, but the Broncs came back to tie the game at 6-6, 8-8, 10-10 and 13-13.

Down 17-14, Kimasa hit a layup to bring the Broncs within one, but the Roadrunners responded with a 15-4 run, scoring the last 10 points of that run consecutively, to go up 32-20 on a Cortez Conners three-pointer with 5:53 remaining in the first half.

The Broncs pulled within 34-24 on a pair of Joesaar baskets, but the Roadrunners scored the next seven points to build a 17-point lead.

The Roadrunners still led by 17 at 48-31 on an Abdul Ahmed three six minutes into the second half, but the Broncs outscored the Roadrunners 18-7 over the next 11 minutes to pull within 55-49 on a Hobbs tip-in.

Down the stretch, however, the Roadrunners hit went 9-for-11 from the line to put the game on ice.

The Broncs return home on Thursday at 7 p.m. when they host Utah Valley at the UTPA Fieldhouse. The first 75 UTPA students in attendance will receive Broncs drawstring bags.
