EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros women's basketball team (1-1) plays its home opener against the Concordia University Tornados (0-0) on Monday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

There will be a special pregame ceremony to unveil the Women's Basketball Invitational Banner.

Doors open at 6.

The game will be televised live throughout the state on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, channel 323. Jonah Goldberg returns for his sixth season (fifth consecutive) as the play-by-play announcer, while Tony Forina makes his debut as the color commentator.
