The Cougars pulled to within six twice, including at 16-10 with 9:14 remaining in the first half on a pair of Williams free throws.

The Cougars were within seven at 24-17 after a Williams layup four minutes later, but freshman Stephanie Onyeje made a three, Bush hit a layup and then Wright sunk a free throw to give the Broncs their largest lead of the half at 30-17.

The Broncs' lead was cut to eight in the final minute of the half, but senior Tonisha Walker hit a three and Goff hit a jumper right before the buzzer. Then, at the start, of the second half, junior Rickell Preston made a layup to give the Broncs their largest lead of the game at 40-25.
