EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros women's soccer team closed out the UTRGV Invitational with a scoreless double overtime draw against the Houston Baptist University Huskies on Sunday at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
 
The Vaqueros (2-2-3) defense was strong throughout, as All-Tournament Team selections Evelyn Powell, Tuva Nilsen and Hadlie Tucker cleared countless balls and prevented numerous opportunities. In the net, Maria Eriksen (1-0-1) made a career-high 11 saves for her second-straight shutout.

Elisa Espino, who scored the game-winning goal on Saturday, also earned All-Tournament honors as the Vaqueros finished in second at the tournament.
 
Huskies (2-2-1) goalkeeper Katie Turner (2-1-1) made two saves as the Vaqueros were outshot 22-5, including 12-2 on goal.
 
The Vaqueros close out the home stand on Wednesday at 7 p.m. when they host Texas Southern.
