EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros men's basketball team (4-13, 0-2 WAC) plays its Western Athletic Conference home opener against the Chicago State University Cougars (4-14, 0-2 WAC) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

The first 75 fans in attendance will receive WAC t-shirts.

Doors open at 6.

The game will be shown live as the WAC Digital Network Game of the Week and televised live throughout the state on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, channel 323. Jonah Goldberg handles the play-by-play announcer while Tony Forina serves as the color commentator.
