EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros women's basketball team (12-7, 4-0 WAC) hosts the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners (5-13, 2-1 WAC) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

It's Residence Life/Back to School Night. All UTRGV residence halls are invited to participate in a spirit challenge to see which dorm has the most pride. The first 100 UTRGV students in attendance will receive a free drawstring bag. Students can also enter a raffle to win a UTRGV gift basket with back-to-school essentials.

Doors open at 6.

The game will be televised live throughout the state on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, channel 323. Jonah Goldberg handles the play-by-play announcer while Tony Forina serves as the color commentator.
