EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros women's basketball team (8-7, 0-0 WAC) opens up Western Athletic Conference play against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes (8-8, 0-0 WAC) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

The first 100 fans in attendance will receive WAC t-shirts.

Doors open at 6.

The game will be televised live throughout the state on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, channel 323. Jonah Goldberg handles the play-by-play announcer while Tony Forina serves as the color commentator.
