EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley men's basketball team (4-8) hosts Lamar University (5-4) on Friday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse in a game that will be televised nationally on American Sports Network and regionally on Spectrum Sports channel 323.

Fans that donate a new or lightly use coat will receive free general admission. Current UTRGV students, who already receive free general admission, will receive free popcorn. All coat donations benefit Tim's Coats.
 
It's also Grad Night. The first 150 UTRGV fall graduates to RSVP will receive commemorative 2016 tassel key chains. To RSVP, send an email to UTRGV Athletics Marketing and Promotions Coordinator Kara Lara at kara.lara@utrgv.edu with your first name, last name, and student ID number. Graduates are encouraged to bring their cap and gown for complimentary graduation photos in front of a UTRGV backdrop. A photographer will be on site from 6-to-7:30 p.m. Additionally, graduates will be recognized at halftime. Parents and guests of graduates can enjoy a discounted ticket price of just $5 when they arrive with their pre-registered graduates.
