Game NotesEDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros baseball team (8-10) wraps up a two-game series against the Jackson State University Tigers (9-8) on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the UTRGV Baseball Stadium.
It's kids day, as fans ages 17 and under will receive free admission and frozen treats. The first 50 fans ages 17 and under in attendance will receive free t-shirts.
Additionally, any fans bringing four non-perishable food items to the game will receive a free ticket as part of the Strike Out Hunger Promotion. All donations benefit the Food Bank RGV. There is no limit on how many tickets can be redeemed.
Gates open at 5.
The game will be televised live throughout the state on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, channel 323.
Jonah Goldberg handles the play-by-play announcer while
Danny Elizondo and
Tony Forina serve as the color commentators.
