EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros men's basketball team (8-20, 4-9 WAC) hosts the New Mexico State University Aggies (21-9, 12-1 WAC) for senior day on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

There will be a pregame ceremony honoring seniors Shaquille Hines and Everett Osborne and graduate students Dakota Slaughter and J.J. Thompson.

UTRGV Athletics is also partnering with Lions Club District 2-A3 to host a used eyeglass drive. Fans who donate a pair of used eyeglasses, in reusable condition, will receive a free popcorn voucher at this game. Children's glasses, reading glasses, adult glasses and sunglasses are all acceptable donations. All used eyeglasses that are brought to the game will be donated to the Texas Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center located in Midland, Texas. The center will then sort through donated eyeglasses and distribute them to people in developing countries who otherwise could not afford glasses.

Doors open at 6.

The game will be televised live throughout the state on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel Alternate, channel 825. Jonah Goldberg handles the play-by-play announcer while Tony Forina serves as the color commentator.
