Baseball Kicks Off Final Regular Season Series Against Grand Canyon Thursday

EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros baseball team (20-26, 9-12 WAC) kicks off its final series of the regular season with the first of three against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes (23-27-1, 11-13 WAC) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at UTRGV Baseball Stadium.

The first 100 fans in attendance will receive University Drafthouse koozies.

There will be a UTPA Broncs memorabilia sale during the game.

Mack Brown and Oliver Luck will throw out ceremonial first pitches.

Gates open at 6.

The game will be televised live throughout the state on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, channel 323. Jonah Goldberg handles the play-by-play while Danny Elizondo serves as the color commentator.
