Strike Out Hunger: Baseball Hosts CSU Bakersfield in Rubber Game Sunday

EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros baseball team (19-23, 8-9 WAC) can clinch a series victory over the defending WAC Tournament Champion CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners (10-34, 5-14 WAC) with a win on Sunday at 12 p.m. at UTRGV Baseball Stadium.

Any fans bringing four non-perishable food items to the game will receive a free ticket as part of the Strike Out Hunger Promotion. All donations benefit the Food Bank RGV.

Gates open at 11 a.m.

The game will be televised live throughout the state on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, channel 323. Jonah Goldberg handles the play-by-play while Danny Elizondo serves as the color commentator.
