EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley women's basketball team (13-8, 3-2 WAC) looks to break the program record for longest home winning streak, currently at seven games, when it hosts Utah Valley (6-13, 1-3 WAC) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

It's Back to School and Res Life Night. The first 200 UTRGV students in attendance with a valid student ID will receive a free travel mug. UTRGV faculty and staff can purchase specially priced $3 general admission tickets with a valid employee ID.
 
Doors open at 6.
 
There will be raffle drawings throughout the game in which UTRGV students will have the chance to win back-to-school essentials including UTRGV notebooks, bags, caps, flash drives, water bottles, and sunglasses, gear that is normally only available at UTRGVGear.com.
 
UTRGV students can enter the raffle from 6-to-7:30 at the iPad station located outside the main entrance.
 
UTRGV Housing and Residence Life is joining in on the action by continuing its Resident Assistants (RAs) vs. Residents competition. RAs and residents will faceoff in various competitions during timeouts. To RSVP your participation, contact Housing Coordinator April Munoz at april.munoz@utrgv.edu or 956-665-2995. 
 
Additionally, each hall will compete in an attendance competition to earn year-round bragging rights, a pizza party, and the traveling trophy, which was won by Heritage Hall last year.
 
Casa Bella residents are encouraged to attend the live watch party at the Clubhouse to compete in the attendance competition. The first 50 Brownsville residents to RSVP by sending an email to Jessica Vallejo at jessica.vallejo01@utrgv.edu will receive a travel mug.
 
UTRGV residents will be asked to sign-in upon arrival. The winner will be determined by the number of attendees per hall relative to its size, and will be announced during the second half of the game.
