CORPUS CHRISTI – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley women's basketball team (0-0) kicks off the season at the Islanders Classic when they face Concordia University (0-0) on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Dugan Wellness Center, on the campus of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

This will be the first of two matches in the tournament with UTRGV facing Trinity on Saturday at 5 p.m.
