EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley women's basketball team (18-13) opens the Women's Basketball Invitational by hosting Stephen F. Austin (25-7) for a first round matchup on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse in the first postseason home game in program history.

With a win, UTRGV will tie the program records for total wins (19) and home wins (12) and UTRGV head coach Larry Tidwell will break the program record for career wins. He's currently tied for first with 70.
