LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The fourth-seeded University of Texas Rio Grande Valley women's basketball team (18-12, 8-6 WAC) opens up the Western Athletic Conference Tournament with a quarterfinals matchup against fifth-seeded UMKC (9-18, 4-10 WAC) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Orleans Arena.
Fans unable to make the trip can join fellow fans at the watch party at University Draft House at 2405 W. University Dr. in Edinburg.
UTRGV will tie the program records for total wins (19) and UTRGV head coach
Larry Tidwell will break the program record for career wins if UTRGV wins. Tidwell currently tied for first with 70.
