EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley volleyball team (3-7) plays its home opener against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3-7) as part of the South Texas Showdown, presented by Navy Army Community Credit Union, on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.
The first 200 fans in attendance will receive #BeatCorpus t-shirts. There will be a pre-match rally in the fieldhouse courtyard starting at 6.
There will be a pregame ceremony celebrating the 2016 Western Athletic Conference Tournament Championship that includes the unveiling of the WAC Tournament Champion and NCAA Tournament banners, as well as the distribution of the WAC Tournament Championship rings.
Doors open at 6.
