MCALLEN – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) men's tennis team extended its win streak to four straight with a 4-0 victory over Prairie View A&M University on Saturday at McAllen Country Club.
 
UTRGV (8-8) got things started by taking the doubles point. Senior Koby Jansen and junior Yehonatan Kaufman didn't drop a game to Ulrick Boyogueno and Xavier Lawrence on court one winning 6-0. 
 
Freshman Zane Kohrs and sophomore Clément Sarradin then clinched the point for UTRGV with a 6-2 win on court two over Anirudh Yadav and Rodrigo Yoshikata.
 
UTRGV then kept the momentum rolling in singles as Kaufman dropped one game to Yadav on court three winning the match 6-0, 6-1. 
 
Sarradin made it 3-0 UTRGV with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Zach Suico on court three before Kohrs put the match away with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Kevin Ugarteche on court five.
 
UTRGV will be back in action on March 29 when it travels to Kansas City, Missouri to face New Mexico State in its first Western Athletic Conference match of the season.
