SAN ANTONIO –The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) volleyball team won all five of its two-set exhibition matches at the Trinity Tournament on Saturday at the Bell Athletic Center.
UTRGV beat San Jacinto 2-0 (25-17, 25-6), St. Thomas 2-0 (25-15, 25-15), and Trinity 2-0 (25-18, 25-21) during pool play before defeating the FSU club team 2-0 (25-21, 25-11) and St. Mary's 2-0 (25-22, 25-14) during crossover play.
UTRGV is now 8-0-1 during the spring season with victories in 18 out of 20 sets.

Carter Helmcamp continue to get more comfortable at the setter position. All three middle blockers, including
Talita Oliveira,
Veronika Jandova and
Alexandra Ecker had good days.
Gysell Zayas continues to hold the defense.
Ragni Steen Knudsen and
Barbara Thais Krug both passed really well."
UTRGV concludes the spring season on Tuesday at 3 p.m. against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.
