COLLEGE STATION – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) men's tennis team fell 0-4 to No. 9 Texas A&M University on Saturday at the Mitchell Tennis Center in its first match of the day.
 
UTRGV (1-2) fell behind in the match after Texas A&M (2-0) picked up the doubles point. Senior Yehonatan Kaufman and freshman George Hutchings were leading in their match against Valentin Vacherot and Jack Pulliam 4-1 before it went unfinished as Texas A&M won on courts two and three.
 
In singles, Texas A&M won on courts five, two and four to clinch the win. Kaufman was down a set on court one to Guido Marson and was up 5-0 in the second set before it was stopped. 
 
Junior Clément Sarradin's and sophomore Zane Kohrs' matches were also stopped in the second sets.
 
UTRGV will be back in action later this afternoon as it faces Prairie View A&M at 4 p.m.
