MESA, Ariz. – With its backs up against the wall, second-seeded The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley baseball team (34-20) will try to play and win two elimination games in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tournament on Friday at 1 p.m. against third-seeded Sacramento State (34-23) and 5 p.m. against sixth-seeded Utah Valley (15-40) at Hohokam Stadium, the spring training home of the Oakland A's.
