EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley volleyball team (5-6) hosts the UTRGV Tournament with matches against Texas Southern (1-5) on Friday at 1:30 p.m., Washington State (8-1), a team receiving votes in the latest AVCA Top 25 poll, at 7 p.m., and Houston Baptist (6-6) on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

Additionally, on Friday, Washington State faces Houston Baptist at 10 a.m. and Texas Southern plays Houston Baptist at 4:30. On Saturday Washington State faces Texas Southern at 11 a.m.

Doors open on Friday at 9 a.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m.

Friday's match between UTRGV and Washington State is both Greek Night and Alumni Night. The first 100 Greeks in attendance will receive a Greek Life t-shirt. The first 20 Greek alumni will also receive a t-shirt. Alumni of UTRGV and legacy institutions UTPA and UTB can receive discounted tickets at the box office by showing their email invitations. If you haven't received an invitation, please call the alumni office at (956) 665-2500.

Saturday's match between UTRGV and Houston Baptist features an Orange Out for Hunger Action Month promotion. Fans donating five non-perishable food items will receive an Orange Out t-shirt while supplies last. All donations benefit the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley.
