RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Friday that Friday's games of the South Padre Island Classic, featuring women's basketball games between North Texas and UT Arlington and UTRGV and Prairie View A&M, have been rescheduled for Saturday at the UTRGV Fieldhouse. 
 
UTRGV will play Prairie View A&M at noon with North Texas and UT Arlington resuming their game at 3 p.m. The scheduled games between North Texas and Prairie View A&M and UTRGV and UT Arlington will not be played.
 
Fans with tickets to Friday's games will have their tickets honored for the games at the UTRGV Fieldhouse. All seating for these games will be general admission with no courtside seating available. Doors open at 11 a.m.

At the end of the season, UTRGV basketball season ticket holders will have the option to either donate the balance paid for canceled games that are not replaced or rescheduled to the V Club, receive a credit that is good for 2021-22 basketball season tickets, or receive a refund.

North Texas and UT Arlington completed the first quarter of their game before play was stopped with North Texas leading 18-13.
