PHOENIX – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley men's basketball team (12-16, 7-7 WAC) looks to break a tie for the three-seed and potentially move into position for the two-seed when it faces Grand Canyon (12-16, 7-7 WAC) on Saturday at 7 p.m. at GCU Arena.
UTRGV and Grand Canyon trail Seattle U (7-6 WAC) by half a game. Seattle U is at California Baptist at 8. Both teams lead Kansas City (6-7), which hosts Chicago State at 7, by half a game, and CSU Bakersfield (6-8 WAC), which host New Mexico State at 9, by a whole game.
