LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Fourth-seeded The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team (17-9) opens up the Western Athletic Conference Tournament with a quarterfinal match up against the fifth-seeded Grand Canyon Lopes (17-6) on Thursday at 2 p.m. at New Mexico State's Pan American Center.

The winner faces the winner of No. 1 Sam Houston and No. 8 Abilene Christian in the semifinals on Friday at 5 p.m. The championship match is set for Saturday at 8 p.m.
