RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's basketball team (3-5) is set to host the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders (4-4), as part of the South Texas Showdown, presented by Navy Army Community Credit Union, on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Bert Ogden Arena. 

UTRGV currently trails in the showdown standings 22-7 with the next showdown event coming on February 8 with a men's tennis match at the Orvillle Cox Tennis Center. 

Doors open at 4 p.m.
