RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Friday that, due to positive COVID-19 tests of Tier 1 personnel and subsequent contact tracing within the Lamar baseball program, this weekend's scheduled home games between UTRGV and Lamar will not be played.
 
UTRGV had been scheduled to host a doubleheader on Saturday at 11 a.m. and a single game on Sunday at 12 p.m. at UTRGV Baseball Stadium.
