CORPUS CHRISTI – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's tennis team fell 0-7 to the UTSA Roadrunners in its second match of the H-E-B Tournament of Champions on Saturday at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.
 
The Vaqueros (3-5) picked up a victory in doubles play as the duo of redshirt junior Carlo Izurieta and redshirt sophomore Samuel de Felipe Garcia defeated Juri Reckow and Slava Gulin 6-3 at the No. 2 spot. 
 
UTSA (2-2) won the other two doubles matches to take the point. 
 
The Roadrunners swept through singles to clinch the win. 
 
Redshirt freshman Luka Jankovicopened his match with a 6-4 win in the first set against Joao Ceolin before falling 3-6 in the second. The tiebreaker was tight all the way through before Jankovic fell 8-10. 
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action on Sunday when they face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 10 a.m. in the final day of the H-E-B Tournament of Champions.
