HOUSTON– The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's tennis team fell 0-4 to the Rice Owls on Saturday at the George R. Brown Tennis Center in its first match of the weekend. 
 
Rice (3-5) took the doubles point as it won at the No. 1 and 2 spots while the match at the No. 3 spot went unfinished. 
 
UTRGV (3-7) was leading in a pair of matches when the Owls clinched the win with wins at the No. 2, 6, and 1 spots. Redshirt sophomore Te Kani Williams as ahead one set in his match against Adam Oscislawski at the No. 4 spot after winning 6-4 but his match went unfinished.
 
Redshirt junior Zane Kohrs opened his match with Trinity Grear with a 6-3 win in the first set and was ahead 4-1 in the second before his match went unfinished as well. 
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action tomorrow when they face No. 10 Texas A&M at 6 p.m. at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
