PHOENIX, Ariz. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's tennis team fell 0-7 to the New Mexico State Aggies on Saturday at the GCU Tennis Facility.
The Vaqueros (3-13, 0-2 WAC) won at the No. 1 doubles as the team of redshirt sophomore
Samuel de Felipe Garcia and redshirt junior
Carlo Izurieta defeated Nicolas Buitrago and Jordy Visser 6-4 but the Aggies (3-9, 1-0 WAC) would clinch the point with a win at the No. 2 spot.

Te Kani Williams took his match at the No. 3 singles spot to three sets against Martin Simecek. After falling 1-6 in the first set, Williams bounced back with a 6-3 win in the second to force a tiebreaker. Williams and Simecek went back and forth in the tiebreaker before Williams fell 9-11.
The Aggies won on the other singles matches to clinch the win.
The Vaqueros will be back in action on April 3 when they host Prairie View A&M for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
