RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) baseball team (12-12, 4-4 WAC) hosts the California Baptist University Lancers (15-6, 8-0 WAC), a team receiving votes in the latest NCBWA poll, for a four-game series on Thursday at 6 p.m., Friday for a doubleheader at 1 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. at UTRGV Baseball Stadium.
Game one of Friday's doubleheader is scheduled for seven innings while game two is scheduled for the full nine.
UTRGV Athletics is capping capacity at UTRGV Baseball Stadium at approximately 1,200 fans. Single-game tickets can be purchased online at
