RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's basketball team (5-8, 0-1 WAC) plays the Western Athletic Conference home opener against the defending champion Grand Canyon Lopes (11-2, 1-0 WAC) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse. 

Current UTRGV students get free admission with their student IDs.

The party starts in Vaquero Village at 5:30 p.m.
