HOUSTON – Tuesday's scheduled 3 p.m. game between The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) baseball team and Houston Baptist at Husky Field has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather.
The forecast currently calls for an 90% chance of rain and thunderstorms.
UTRGV and Houston Baptist will explore potential options to reschedule the game in the coming days.
UTRGV returns home on Friday at 7 p.m. to open a three-game Western Athletic Conference series against Lamar at UTRGV Baseball Stadium. It's Pride in the Park Night. The first 300 fans in attendance receive rainbow wristbands, courtesy of the UTRGV Office for Advocacy & Violence Prevention (OAVP). OAVP will also host in-game programming to celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion. The game also features the Cane's Challenge. Whenever the Vaqueros win a Friday home game, all fans in the ballpark receive coupons for buy one, get one free box combos at Raising Cane's.
